the pattern grid scrolls in real time as the mixer calculates every note, every timing tick, every voice — live, in code. it's the sound of the demoscene, the early rave, the games you grew up on. made by people who thought in hexadecimal because they had to.

the resurrection

I wrote this in 1996.
then life happened.

VoodooTracker ran on Linux, had a following, and was featured in The Book of Linux Music & Sound. it lived on SourceForge — before GitHub existed. then twenty years passed. four months ago, with AI, it came back — rebuilt from nothing in modern Swift & AppKit, a custom C mixer doing the audio. not a single line of the old code imported. a clean resurrection.
